Jennifer's journey began with heartbreak. The loss of her mother, father, and best friend within a short span could have shattered her. Instead, it ignited a fierce calling to ensure that others walking through darkness would never have to walk alone.

"My mom, dad, and best friend each had a gift for seeing people, really seeing them," Jennifer shares. "They loved children deeply. When they passed, I knew I had to carry that forward. The lollipops were never just candy. They were love made tangible, presence wrapped in sweetness."

Today, Jennifer leads Handing Hope with the same tender courage her loved ones embodied. Under her vision, the organization has evolved from hospital visits to sacred technology, always guided by one belief: that love can reach anyone, anywhere, when we build with integrity and spirit.

From this wellspring of sorrow and love emerged a vision to turn grief into joy by bringing comfort to children and families walking through cancer. We delivered naturally sugar-free lollipops with handwritten notes across 14 U.S. states and 4 countries, each one carrying the message: "You matter. You're not alone. You are deeply loved."

A little girl in a hospital bed, fragile and quiet, her small body tired from treatment. When she received our lollipop with its message of love, she smiled softly and whispered those words. That moment captured everything. A child in pain remembered her worth. This is what Handing Hope has always been about: not giving things, but giving reminders of belovedness.
